Stronger Than We think We Are

Happy Friday and Feast of St Joseph The Worker!  :)

"Faith is God's primary means of keeping his children reliant upon him.

It forces us to put ourselves in situations where we can't take care of ourselves, and requires that we apply the truth that we say we believe.

Nothing strengthens our spiritual lives more, but nothing is more challenging

Faith grows through taking steps of confidence, and chooses an attitude of optimism when everything seems to discourage it.

Faith is required in nearly every moment of significant change in life, and God requires more faith when you're ready for it.

Faith challenges you to flex your spiritual muscles beyond what you think you can bear, but God knows what you're capable of bearing.

He never gives you a challenge too big, even though you think it might be.

Each of us, at some point in our lives, will have to close our eyes and take a leap.

Our challenge is taking the leap; it's God who steps in to catch us and carry us back down to solid ground.

God requires faith in our lives because he believes in us entirely, and he knows we have more spiritual grit in us than we think we have.

So, he presses us.

He forces us to challenge ourselves so that we realize that we have more in us than we thought we had.

We think that faith puts us in a needy and vulnerable place, but we can be encouraged knowing that in reality, God requires faith from us as the first indication that we're stronger than we think we are and that we're ready for bigger things."
