Happy Sunday!!!

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain in life. That word is Love."
—Sophocles

Thought provoking..... what a perspective!

"Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business. What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can."

—Thomas Merton: Letter to Dorothy Day, quoted in Catholic Voices in a World on Fire (2005) by Stephen Hand, p. 180. Thank you, Dhamma

Our "other selves"

What a tremendous message of hope and courage and perseverance, written back in the 1930's by Napoleon Hill in his masterful and uplifting book, "Think and Grow Rich."

For all if us who have experienced heartbreak, pain and suffering, it is a message that we need to hear, loud and clear!!! And Believe!!!

During times of crisis, we are introduced to our "other selves"!  Our inner warrior emerges and takes over and success quickly follows.

I highly recommend this book as its value is timeless and its message is amazing!!!

Perseverance and Desire are two characteristics all successful people possess and we all can control these 2 traits starting today!!!

They are not bought or exclusive to certain people!!!  Anyone can practice them!!

Why not you??

Stay Strong!!!

Mind your Thoughts!!!

Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every thought we think is creating our future. -Louise L. Hay

Well-being is making its way to you at all times. If you will relax and find a way to allow it, it will be your experience. -Abraham (Esther Hicks)

......

So much of our life experience is directed by what we think about!

What we choose to focus on, think about, dwell on, etc. minute by minute has such power that we must be careful and cognizant of what we allow our brain to think and process.

I find that if you are able to catch yourself processing negative thoughts which tend to cascade and create larger negative thoughts, and replace them with some other positive affirmations or thoughts, we can avoid that depressing, anxious, worried feeling that confronts us so often.

I use a prayer, the Hail Mary, whenever I catch my mind stuck on a worry or fear, and just repeat it until I can move onto other more positive thoughts.

Work on it ...it does hold true!!!

Guard your thoughts as they will inevitably create what you will experience in this life!!

Stay Strong!!

The Courage to carry on.....

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
-Mary Anne Radmacher

It is human nature to be a little self absorbed with our own lives and to make ourselves the focal point of our every action and thought!!!

It is only through conscious effort and dedication that we can control this and at the very least modify it to overcome this ego based existence.

Some people master this wonderfully and these people should be our role models in life!  Mother Theresa, Jesus Christ, our parents, etc are some notable amazing role models for many of us.

For the weaker of us, it is a daily struggle to put others first and it does not come easy for many of us.

One way to accomplish this, at least in baby steps, is to remember to consider what others are going through in comparison to our own lives when they disappoint or upset us.

It is so easy to judge people's actions and behaviors, but until we truly take the time to understand why they are the way they are, or say the things they say, or act the way they do, we must hold our judgments in abeyance.

I met a woman like that this latest weekend. It would have been very easy to write off her behavior or her first impression to many different categories, but after speaking with her and listening to her, it was revealed that she had lost a child and the pain of that anguish completely absolved her of any ill judgements.

This is true courage and faith!!!!

Nothing is harder than that nightmarish experience and for all who have undergone it, and get up daily and persevere, forge ahead, and do not quit, to you I still stand in amazement and awe, and filled with your inspiration!!!!

Everyone is going through something tough in their lives, I don't care who you are or how well you conceal it.  And it can be rough indeed.

Recognize people you meet for the first time with this understanding and you will have a much better time interacting, helping people heal, giving them strength and encouragement!!

And you will certainly find yourself feeling better about whatever it is you may have going on in your life!!!
Try it...you just may find it is just what the doctor ordered!!!

Stay Strong!!!!

Love what you do!!!! Your happiness depends on it!!

People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.
-Dale Carnegie

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
-Albert Schweitzer

Working at a job you hate is unlikely to bring you either happiness or success.

Do what you love. You are far more likely to gain success -recognition and financial reward -if you are working at something that inspires and excites you. And, whether wealth follows or not, you will be happy.

Happy St. Patricks Day

What we speak becomes the house we live in.
   -Hafiz

What we think, we become. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
   -The Buddha

Have a wonderful St Paddy's Day!

Choose today to make the decision to change the way we look at life.

It starts with our thoughts!!

Feel the strength and invincibility we possess wash over us as we seek peace, love, joy and happiness!!!

It is there for us....just seize it!!!!

You are never alone!!!!

Stay Strong!

Happy Sunday

What's done is done.
   -William Shakespeare

My Mama always said you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on.
    -the movie Forrest Gump

"Stop holding on to the past.

Release your regrets about whatever you may have done or failed to do that turned out poorly.

Forgive others for whatever they may have done or failed to do that cause you harm.

Declare today to be a new beginning. Let go of the past and move on with creating a joyful new future for yourself."

Today is as good a day as any to put the past behind us and start a new chapter!!!  It is that easy, you just need to put your mind to it, pray for strength, and make it so.

Your only limitation is your own mind!!!

Stay Strong and take that first step right now!!!

I believe in you!!!

It is NEVER too late!!!!

"Consult not your fears, but your hopes and your dreams.
Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential.
Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do."

-Pope John XXIII

Master of Your Emotions

"If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labor.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions."

-Og Mandino

Great affirmation and reminder that our thoughts and actions dictate how our day, week, indeed our life will be!!!

Become the Master of your emotions starting right now!!!!

Stay Strong!!!!

I'm Coming Home

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
Tell the World I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away

 all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the World that I'm coming...

Back where I belong, yeah I never felt so strong
(I'm back baby)
I feel like there's nothing that I can't try
And if you with me put your hands high
(put your hands high)
If you ever lost the light before, this ones for you
And you, the dreams are for you

I hear "The Tears of a Clown"
I hate that song
I feel like they talking to me when it comes on
Another day another Dawn
Another Keisha, nice to meet ya, get the math I'm gone

What am I 'posed to do when the club lights come on
Its easy to be Puff, its harder to be Sean
What if the twins ask why I aint marry their mom (why, damn!)
How do I respond?

What if my son stares with a face like my own
And says he wants to be like me when he's grown?
Sh-t! But I aint finished growing
Another night the inevitable prolongs,
Another day another Dawn

Just tell Taneka and Taresha I'll be better in the morn'
Another lie that I carry on
I need to get back to the place I belong.

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
Tell the World I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the World that I'm coming

"A house is Not a Home", I hate this song
Is a house really a home when your loved ones are gone?
And people got the nerve to blame you for it
And you know you woulda took the bullet if you saw it
But you felt it and still feel it
And money can't make up for it or conceal it

But you deal with it and you keep ballin'
Pour out some liquor, play ball and we keep ballin'

Baby we've been living in sin 'cause we've been really in love
But we've been living as friends
So you've been a guest in your own home
It's time to make your house your home
Pick up your phone, come on home

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
Tell the World I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the World that I'm coming

"Ain't No Stopping Us Now", I love that song
Whenever it comes on it makes me feel strong
I thought I told y'all that we won't stop
We back cruising through Harlem, These old blocks

It's what made me, saved me, drove me crazy
Drove me away, then embraced me
Forgave me for all of my shortcomings
Welcome to my homecoming
Yeah, it's been a long time coming

Lot of fights, lot of scars,

lot of bottles, Lot of cars, lot of ups, lot of downs
Made it back, lost my dog (I miss you BIG)
And here I stand, a better man! (a better man)
Thank you Lord (Thank you Lord)

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
Tell the World I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
Tell the World that I'm coming....home !

Happy Birthday Fallon O'Toole McIntyre

Fallie turns 9 years old today and we would give anything to celebrate this milestone day with her on earth today.

However, we will instead celebrate with her in spirit as she celebrates in Heaven with her grandparents and loved ones who are undoubtedly with her to blow out the candles!

Not a day passes where we do not think of Fallie and the love she represents. She is always with us in our hearts and souls.

Please take a moment today to wish her a wonderful birthday and send her love today. And please pray for continued strength and faith for her parents and family as well. They are a daily inspiration for us all as we struggle with our own "problems".  Their strength is amazing!!

We miss you and love you, Beautiful!!

Happy Birthday!!

Daily Inspiration...Worry

"It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there's nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you do control?"
~ Wayne Dyer

Worry is such a waste of energy. Most of what we worry about in our lives NEVER comes to fruition and we spend so much valuable time driving ourselves crazy over these things. Some people are driven to illness and for waht reason???  None whatsoever!!

Have FAITH that you are on a path that will lead to happiness, joy and peace!!! Have FAITH that you so not need to worry about things as you will be taken care of regardless.

No matter the direness of the situation, everything passes and will resolve itself in the end.  So why pull your hair out and lament and worry???

Trust and believe.....it will all be ok!!!

Stay Strong
