How to Pray

Prayer is essential to spiritual growth — it is how we build and nurture a deep, meaningful relationship with God.

So how, then, can we know our Father more fully, and pray more effectively?


How to Pray

Jesus gave us simple instructions on prayer:

“Ask and it will be given to you;

seek and you will find;

knock and the door will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives;

he who seeks finds;

and to him who knocks, the door will be opened”

(Matthew 7:7-8).

There is no such thing as “unanswered prayer,” if only we will ask, seek, and knock.


Set aside a specific time each day to meet with God in prayer. God is always open to you and wants to hear your prayer even more than you want to pray it.

So pray, and keep praying with urgency.

Let nothing stop you.
