Remember.......

"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious
privilege it is to be alive -
to breathe,
to think, to enjoy, to love."
   - Marcus Aurelius

Today is a day of Remembrance.

We remember and pray for all those souls who passed 12 years ago - and also pray for all the hundreds of thousands of people whose lives were impacted that beautiful sunny Septembrr day as a result of hatred.

Today should also be a day to reflect on and validate the fact that as we always say - life does indeed go on.

Having been a couple of blocks away from Ground Zero that horrific morning and witnessing up close all that unfolded that day and the days that followed, I would have been hard pressed to have thought that life could go on. Especially as we walked home from Battery Park in a sea of papers, floating debris and a blanket of white covering virtually everything the eye could see - and that rivaled any winter blizzard in NY. The smell from the burning fires is a smell I cannot describe but will never ever forget.

However, 12 years later and we see that life does indeed go on regardless of the events, the actions and the circumstances that impact us.

It is sad and difficult and painful - but guess what, we survive and we move forward!

It is all we can do!

Remember that lesson when you are confronted with something so challenging,  incomprehensible, and daunting that you cannot imagine getting through it!

Trust me - as long as you don't quit you will ALWAYS get through it!!

Stay Strong and God Bless!!
