The Only One who can Keep You Safe

Before you read the amazingly POWERFUL message and promise of Trust, Hope and Faith below, please take a moment to say a prayer to St Therese de Lisieux - "The Little Flower" whose Feast Day we Celebrate today!

"Through her letters, the word-of-mouth tradition originating with her fellow-nuns, and especially through the publication of "Histoire d'un ame," Therese of the Child Jesus or "The Little Flower" soon came to mean a great deal to numberless people; she had shown them the way of perfection in the small things of every day.

Miracles and graces were being attributed to her intercession, and within twenty-eight years after death, this simple young nun had been canonized.

In 1936 a basilica in her honor at Lisieux was opened and blessed by Cardinal Pacelli; and it was he who, in 1944, as Pope, declared her the secondary patroness of France. "The Little Flower" was an admirer of St. Teresa of Avila, and a comparison at once suggests itself.

They both patiently endured severe physical sufferings; both had a capacity for intense religious experience; both led lives made radiant by the love of Christ.

St. Therese died at age 24 having devoted her life to Christ from as early an age as she could remember.

While some people have proposed that certain prayers must be said at certain times and before certain hours, and connected with other prayers, this is not Therese's "little way".

She took seriously Jesus' request that we not use lots of words, but rather pray to God our Father in simple, hidden and honest ways."

"Dear Therese of Lisieux, pray for us on your Feast Day, and show us how little things can be done with great love.
Amen."

"Little Flower
In this Hour
Show Your Power.
Amen."

PUT YOUR TRUST IN ME, AND I WILL KEEP YOU SAFE.

There is a deep, deep yearning in your heart for safety and security.

You can mask these longings with activity for a time, but only for a time.

These feelings actually serve a very good purpose.

Properly used, they can point you to Me and My sufficiency.

I am the only One who can really, ultimately keep you safe.

Whenever you start to feel insecure—about anything—come to Me.

Talk with Me about your fears and concerns; then affirm your trust in Me.

Voicing your trust connects you with Me at a deep level.

It also pushes back the darkness of deception.

The evil one has been deceiving people ever since time began, since the Garden of Eden.

Do not listen to his lies.

Instead, put your trust in Me, for I am absolute Truth.

As you come to know Me—the Truth—better and better, I make you increasingly free.
