Take Stock....

A few weeks ago a legendary technology and cultural genius and visionary stepped down from his leadership role at Apple Computer due to his deteriorating health.

Steve Jobs, perhaps one of the most successful and lauded businessmen of our modern era has literally changed the way we conduct our lives via technology.

He has been so wildly successful in taking Apple from near bankruptcy to one of the largest firms on the world ..actually the  largest for one day in fact!

We as humans look to his material  success and accomplishments with awe and admiration and he certainly earned it! He achieved what many or most of us may not be able to in the business world and has reaped the rewards of his efforts.

Sadly, despite his unequivocal success in obtaining what we are all striving to obtain materially on this earth, he is very very ill and in bad shape. Prayers are clearly needed for him at this time.

It struck me hard that this poor guy, despite all his gobs of money, fame, material success, glory, etc would probably trade it all--everything he has earned and made for himself and his employees, shareholders, etc.-- All of it --- for his health.

Very sad.

What good are the material things we all believe we are after, if we do not have our health, or loved ones, or the ability to share them or the time to live them?

Say a prayer for Mr. Jobs today.

And let's do ourselves a favor and get down on our knees tonight and thank the Almighty God in Heaven for our health, our well being and our lives-  First and foremost....

So often we lament about our lives and judge who and what we are on what we drive, how much we make, or our material lifestyles.

How petty and small all of that seems compared to the greatest net worth any of us can have - a healthy and peaceful life!

Well next time you do this exercise in self pity or envy or woe is me thinking, remember Mr. Jobs and all that he would trade today in his life to have what you and I have as a GIFT FROM GOD!

Do not take it lightly and always remember that you are blessed with all that matters in your life-- today and now!  Search for happiness and gratitude no further, it is with you today!

Say a prayer for Mr. Jobs.  And one of thank you for what you have today!  May it last for all time!

Stay Strong!
