Solitude and peace

We need to find God, and he cannot
be found in noise and restlessness.

God is the friend of silence.

See how nature - trees, flowers, grass -  grows in silence; see the stars,
the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...

We need silence to be able to touch souls.

but sometimes your smile

Amen - Daily Guidance!

"Whenever you go out of doors, draw the chin in, carry the crown of the head high, and fill the lungs to the utmost;  drink in the sunshine;

Greet your friends with a smile, and put soul into every handclasp.

Do not fear being misunderstood & do not waste a minute thinking about your enemies.

Try to fix firmly in your mind what you would like to do; and then without veering off direction, you will move straight to the goal.

Keep your mind on the great and splendid things you would like to do, and then, as the days go gliding by, you will find yourself unconsciously seizing upon the opportunities that are required for the fulfilment of your desire, just as the coral insect takes from the running tide the element it needs.

Picture in your mind the able, earnest, useful person you desire to be, and the thought you hold is hourly transforming you into the particular individual…

Thought is supreme.

Preserve a right mental attitude — the attitude of courage, frankness, and good cheer.

To think right is to create.

All things come through desire and every sincere prayer is answered.

We become like that on which our hearts are fixed.

Whenever you go out of doors, draw the chin in, carry the crown of the head high.

We are gods in the chrysalis."

— Elbert Hubbard

Perspective and attitude

It's all a matter of perspective."

Wasted Worry

"If only the people who worry about their liabilities would think about the riches they do possess,
they would stop worrying."

Happy Independence Day!!!

Remember - especially on this significant day - that ALL True visions of Greatness and Opportunity, in order to come to fruition, must begin and persevere with unwavering Faith, endless Hope,  insurmountable Courage and undeniable Strength!!

Many lives have been given in sacrifice of this Great vision and opportunity over the past 200 plus years. Please take a moment to say a prayer today for those "who have laid such a costly sacrifice on the Altar of Freedom" so that we can enjoy a day like today with our friends and family!

Have a Safe and Peaceful Holiday Weekend!!

Help needed...Call to Action below

"You cannot do a kindness too soon,
for you never know how soon it will be too late."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am hoping you will indulge me a bit and participate in a little sociological experiment with me?

We often talk of the premise that service and acts of kindness to others can and does truly transform our lives.

It is written everywhere we turn and quoted in every spiritual passage we seem to come across.

And if we were asked whether or not we ourselves practiced this principle as a daily discipline some may say yes, others may say occasionally and some may certainly say they have zero idea!

So here is my proposal and challenge to myself and to you - if you choose to accept it.

For the next 30 days -beginning today- I ask you to  seek out and capture AT LEAST one deliberate act of service or kindness EACH DAY to another human being!

Sounds simple doesn't it?

This act should be outside of the normal daily tasks and duties we all undertake and naturally should be designed to either lift someone's spirits,  provide strength or hope to someone in need, or lighten someone's current burden.

You all know what it entails and what is needed to deliver this.

I ask that you reply to me with your acceptance of this challenge asap and EACH day if you could commit to sending me an email with simply this text:

DAY # "X"
COMPLETED ... "#" OF ACTS

If none occurred that day, you can simply email me with "PUSH" -  and add that day's goal to the next day and make up for it!

That is all!

I will endeavor to do the same to this distribution list and let's see the impact of our experiment!

Who will join me??

Stay Strong! !
