Thought provoking..... what a perspective!

"Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy. That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business. What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can."

—Thomas Merton: Letter to Dorothy Day, quoted in Catholic Voices in a World on Fire (2005) by Stephen Hand, p. 180. Thank you, Dhamma

Our "other selves"

What a tremendous message of hope and courage and perseverance, written back in the 1930's by Napoleon Hill in his masterful and uplifting book, "Think and Grow Rich."

For all if us who have experienced heartbreak, pain and suffering, it is a message that we need to hear, loud and clear!!! And Believe!!!

During times of crisis, we are introduced to our "other selves"!  Our inner warrior emerges and takes over and success quickly follows.

I highly recommend this book as its value is timeless and its message is amazing!!!

Perseverance and Desire are two characteristics all successful people possess and we all can control these 2 traits starting today!!!

They are not bought or exclusive to certain people!!!  Anyone can practice them!!

Why not you??

Stay Strong!!!

Mind your Thoughts!!!

Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every thought we think is creating our future. -Louise L. Hay

Well-being is making its way to you at all times. If you will relax and find a way to allow it, it will be your experience. -Abraham (Esther Hicks)

......

So much of our life experience is directed by what we think about!

What we choose to focus on, think about, dwell on, etc. minute by minute has such power that we must be careful and cognizant of what we allow our brain to think and process.

I find that if you are able to catch yourself processing negative thoughts which tend to cascade and create larger negative thoughts, and replace them with some other positive affirmations or thoughts, we can avoid that depressing, anxious, worried feeling that confronts us so often.

I use a prayer, the Hail Mary, whenever I catch my mind stuck on a worry or fear, and just repeat it until I can move onto other more positive thoughts.

Work on it ...it does hold true!!!

Guard your thoughts as they will inevitably create what you will experience in this life!!

Stay Strong!!

The Courage to carry on.....

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
-Mary Anne Radmacher

It is human nature to be a little self absorbed with our own lives and to make ourselves the focal point of our every action and thought!!!

It is only through conscious effort and dedication that we can control this and at the very least modify it to overcome this ego based existence.

Some people master this wonderfully and these people should be our role models in life!  Mother Theresa, Jesus Christ, our parents, etc are some notable amazing role models for many of us.

For the weaker of us, it is a daily struggle to put others first and it does not come easy for many of us.

One way to accomplish this, at least in baby steps, is to remember to consider what others are going through in comparison to our own lives when they disappoint or upset us.

It is so easy to judge people's actions and behaviors, but until we truly take the time to understand why they are the way they are, or say the things they say, or act the way they do, we must hold our judgments in abeyance.

I met a woman like that this latest weekend. It would have been very easy to write off her behavior or her first impression to many different categories, but after speaking with her and listening to her, it was revealed that she had lost a child and the pain of that anguish completely absolved her of any ill judgements.

This is true courage and faith!!!!

Nothing is harder than that nightmarish experience and for all who have undergone it, and get up daily and persevere, forge ahead, and do not quit, to you I still stand in amazement and awe, and filled with your inspiration!!!!

Everyone is going through something tough in their lives, I don't care who you are or how well you conceal it.  And it can be rough indeed.

Recognize people you meet for the first time with this understanding and you will have a much better time interacting, helping people heal, giving them strength and encouragement!!

And you will certainly find yourself feeling better about whatever it is you may have going on in your life!!!
Try it...you just may find it is just what the doctor ordered!!!

Stay Strong!!!!

Love what you do!!!! Your happiness depends on it!!

People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.
-Dale Carnegie

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
-Albert Schweitzer

Working at a job you hate is unlikely to bring you either happiness or success.

Do what you love. You are far more likely to gain success -recognition and financial reward -if you are working at something that inspires and excites you. And, whether wealth follows or not, you will be happy.
