[Stay Strong] This too shall Pass!!!

As we deal with our daily battles and struggles, it is critical to put it all in the grand perspective of what it all truly means!
>
> No matter the trial or challenge we face on this earth, we MUST understand that nothing in this world is permanent and ALL we will leave behind is the good and kindness we do to others!
>
> That is the only - and the most critical - legacy we could ever dream of leaving behind!!
>
> So lighten up - relax a bit and have some fun!!

Life is short and fleeting!
>
> Please read the passage below in its entirety if you can - it is a good plan of action and I believe it will shape your day - and if remembered -perhaps your life!
>
> Stay Strong!

> "I will laugh at the World.
>
> > No living creature can laugh except man.
> >
> > Trees may bleed when they are wounded, and beasts in the field will cry in pain and hunger, yet only WE have the GIFT of laughter and it is ours to use whenever we choose.
> >
> > Henceforth I will cultivate the habit of laughter.
> >
> > I will smile and my digestion will improve; I will chuckle and my burdens will be lightened; I will laugh and my life will be lengthened for this is the Great Secret of long life and now it is OURS!!!
> >
> > I will laugh at the World!
> >
> > And most of all, I will laugh at myself for man is the most comical when he takes himself too seriously.
> >
> > Never will I fall into this trap of the mind.
> >
> > For though I be nature's greatest miracle AM I NOT STILL a mere grain tossed about by the winds of time?
> >
> > Do I truly know whence I came or whither I am bound?
> >
> > Will my concern for this day not seem foolish ten years hence?
> >
> > Why should I permit the petty happenings of today to disturb me in the least?
> >
> > What can take place before this sun sets which will not seem insignificant in the river of centuries?
> >
> > I will laugh at the World.
> >
> > Yet - HOW can I laugh when confronted with man or deed which offends me so as to bring forth my tears and my curses?
> >
> > FOUR WORDS I will train myself to say until they become a habit so strong that immediately they will appear in my mind whenever good humor threatens to depart from me.
> >
> > These words, passed down from the ancients, will carry ME - US - through every adversity and maintain my life in balance.
> >
> > These four words are:
> >
> > THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
> >
> > I will laugh at the world.
> >
> > For all worldly things shall indeed pass. When I am heavy in heartache and worry I shall console myself that THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
> >
> > When I am strangled in poverty and despair I shall tell myself that THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
> >
> > When I am puffed with success and burdened with wealth I shall warn myself that THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
> >
> > Yea, verily, where is he who built the pyramids? Is he not buried within it's stone? And will the pyramid, one day, also not be buried under sand?
> >
> > If all things shall pass why should I be of concern for today?
> >
> > I will laugh at the world.
> >
> > I will paint this day with laughter.
> >
> > Never will I labor to be happy; rather will I remain too busy to be sad.
> >
> > I will enjoy today's happiness TODAY!
> >
> > It is not a grain to be stored in a Box. It is not a wine to be saved in a bottle.
> >
> > It cannot be saved for tomorrow. It must be sown and reaped on the same day and this I will do, henceforth!
> >
> > I will laugh at the world.
> >
> > And with my laughter all things will be reduced to their proper size. I will laugh at my failures and they will vanish in CLOUDS OF NEW DREAMS!
> >
> > I will laugh at my successes and they will shrink to their true value. I will laugh at evil and it will die untasted!
> >
> > I will laugh at goodness and it will thrive and abound.
> >
> > Each day will be triumphant ONLY when my smiles bring forth smiles from others!
> >
> > So long as I laugh I will never be poor. This then is one of nature's greatest gifts, and I will waste it no more.
> >
> > ONLY with laughter and happiness can I truly become a success.
> >
> > ONLY with laughter and happiness can I enjoy the fruits of my labor.
> >
> > Were it not so, far better would it be to fail, for happiness is the wine that sharpens the taste of the meal.
> >
> > To enjoy success I MUST HAVE HAPPINESS, and laughter will be the maiden who serves me!
> >
> > I WILL BE HAPPY!
> >
> > I WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!
> >
> > I will laugh at the World!"

"The thought manifests as the word;
> The word manifests as the deed;
> The deed develops into habit;
> And habit hardens into character.
> So watch the thought and its ways
> with care,
> And let it spring from love
> Born out of concern for all beings.
> As the shadow follows the body,
> As we think, so we become."
>
> —Guatama Buddha, Dhammapada

As the poem "God's in the Chrysallis" states:

"Thought is Supreme"

And indeed it is....

Each thought has such immense power and transformative ability that it is staggering to understand what is within our own powers!

Watch your thoughts very carefully as it is the single, tiny thought that - if believed and cultivated -WILL move mountains!

Thoughts are seeds ... plant the good seeds and you WILL reap a fine harvest!!

Plant bad, negative seeds and your harvest will be overrun with weeds and be difficult to salvage!!!

Catch your negative thoughts, comments, remarks and beliefs as they occur!

Stop them in their tracks and try to change them to a more positive, hopeful outlook - EVEN IF YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE IT AT THE TIME!

The power of our minds is unimaginable but we have to learn to harness that power!

It is way too easy to aid and abet the naysayers and negative Nellies in our minds!

Make this change to your thoughts, attitude, and outlook today - and you cannot be stopped!

It is a fact!!

Stay Strong!

[Stay Strong] See Both Sides...

"I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And how will I do this?

Henceforth will I look on all things with love and be born again.

I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit.

I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars.

I will welcome happiness as it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul.

I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge."

       - Og Mandino

> Regardless of what your daily challenges are or how tough things may be in your life right now, remember there is more than one way to look at your situation.

Take a step back and have faith that there is a turning tide and that you can and will have all that you desire!

Be careful not to dwell on the negative, the fears or the anxieties that come from our daily struggles and are a part if everyone's life!

When you catch yourself in a cascading of worry or sadness or fear, you must practice shifting the focus of your thoughts toward what you HOPE for!

Envision and picture in your mind what you WANT to feel, want to be doing, want to experience!

Look forward with Hope and Faith - Never backward in fear or regret! !!

What is done is done and cannot be undone - so why waste time lamenting and ruminating over it?

If we get good at this shifting and master it to the point where we can identify the negative force that preys on all of our minds as they attack our thoughts - if we can throw the switch into Hope,  Faith and set out on a solution to the problem at hand, we will have mastered and conquered Fear itself!

Change your thoughts and you WILL change your life.  Period.

It is a mindset change we all can master and if you can endure..and you will endure...you will find the Joy, Peace and Happiness that we all seek!!

Stay Strong!!

Re: [Stay Strong] Live and battle just this ONE day!!

There are two days of the week about which we should not worry...two days which should be kept from fear, anxiety, and apprehension.
>
> One of these days is called Yesterday, with it's mistakes and cares, it's faults and its blunders, aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.

> We cannot undo a single act we performed or erase a single word we said.
>
> Yesterday is GONE!
>
> The other day we should not worry about it Tomorrow, with it's possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance.
>
> Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.
>
> Tomorrow's sun will rise, whether in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise.
>
> Until it does, however, we have no stake in tomorrow, for its yet unborn.
>
> This leaves only one day - TODAY!
>
> Any one of us can fight the battle of just one day.
>
> It is when you and I add burdens of two awful eternities - YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW - that we break down.
>
> It is not necessarily the experiences of today that disturbs one's peace of mind. It is often times the remorse or bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring!

> Fight the urge to dwell on the past,  and embrace tomorrow with faith, hope and courage - but do not fear what it may bring!!

> Let us therefore live ONE DAY AT A TIME.

> Stay Strong!   Just One Day!!!

[Stay Strong] Your own Path....

"As Schopenhauer famously stated, when you look back on your life, it looks as though it were a plot, but when you are into it, it's a mess: just one surprise after another.

> > Then, later, you see it was perfect.

> > I believe that if you stay and trust in your own path, great things are going to come to you
> >
> > Since it's your own path, and no one has ever been on it before, there's no precedent, so everything that happens is a surprise and is timely."

—Joseph Campbell, from A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections on the Art of Living, edited by Robert Walter, conceived by Diane K. Osbon (Joseph Campbell Foundation, 1991)

> Be very careful with what you choose to use as your "measuring stick" for success, happiness, and satisfaction!
> >
> > I urge you to step back and define what it is you truly WANT in this short life ..and be leery of comparing your life, your experiences, your relationships, your careers, your accomplishments, etc., to anyone else's life and experiences!!
> >
> > We are all on our own paths and we are not here to match and mimic anyone else's path!!
> >
> > You are unique and whether you know it or not you have a special purpose and reason for being on this earth!
> >
> > Do not choose to pursue an alternate path without thinking of where you WANT that path to lead.
> >
> > At least set it in the right direction!!
> >
Most importantly, STOP beating yourself up over your current, temporary life challenges, your perceived shortcomings, your past, your mistakes, your present state, etc.

Perhaps we are all SUPPOSED to be in the midst of these trials and struggles for a good reason..a reason we may not yet understand!
> >
> > Accept the path we are on!

Embrace it, own it and make the best of it!!!

But KEEP MOVING down the path - YOUR OWN path....with Faith and Hope and Trust that it is leading you to the place you are MEANT to be!!!!
> >
> > Believe it with all your heart and savor each unique and special challenge and be assured that victory and joy awaits you along your path l!!

There will surely be some bumps on that path, but life would be pretty unsatisfying without the joy of overcoming them!!!

Life is never easy - but it also isn't worth living it in fear and worry!!

Give Thanks -  multiple times a day - that we even have the very OPPORTUNITY to experience these storms and possess the power to overcome any hardship or challenges placed in our path!!

The tide is turning so stay in the game - the rewards for doing so are immense and not to be missed  ;)

Stay Strong!!!!

[Stay Strong] Obstacles - Welcome!!!!

"Obstacles are like wild animals.
They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can.   If they see you are afraid of them...they are liable to spring upon you;   but if you look them squarely in the eye,  they will slink out of sight."

  - Orison Swett Marden

Do not allow life's bumps and twists to drag you down!

Embrace them!!!

> No matter who we are and no matter what challenges or obstacles we have on our plate today - we can and we WILL overcome it!!
>
> The sooner we can recognize that life is designed to test us - designed to throw us curveballs and to forge our character through hardship, disappointments and roadblocks - the better off and stronger we will be!!
>
> Remember that all of these challenges are merely temporary and they will pass in time!

We will look back on all of these struggles and ask ourselves why we wasted so much time worrying and so little time enjoying our lives - warts and all!
>
> You are not alone!
>
> You are on the right path and exactly where you are supposed to be at this moment - that includes all of life's challenges and hardships as well!

> So enthusiastically accept the trials and tests thrown our way, keep our head down - and keep moving forward!!!!

Focus on the solution and not the problem - and DO NOT FEAR anything!

> Stay Strong - a New Day is dawning!
