Don't Worry about What is on the Road Up Ahead

"I AM THE TRUTH: the One who came to set you free.

As the Holy Spirit controls your mind and actions more fully, you become free in Me.

You are increasingly released to become the one I created you to be.

This is a work that I do in you as you yield to My Spirit.

I can do My best handiwork when you sit in the stillness of My Presence, focusing your entire being on Me.

Let My thoughts burst freely upon your consciousness, stimulating abundant Life.

I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.

As you follow Me, I lead you along paths of newness: ways you have never imagined.

Don't worry about what is on the road up ahead.

I want you to find your security in knowing Me, the One who died to set you free."

You Face Nothing Alone

AS YOU GET OUT OF BED in the morning, be aware of My Presence with you.

You may not be thinking clearly yet, but I am.

Your early morning thoughts tend to be anxious ones until you get connected with Me.

Invite Me into your thoughts by whispering My Name.

Suddenly your day brightens and feels more user-friendly.

You cannot dread a day that is vibrant with My Presence.

You gain confidence through knowing that I am with you—that you face nothing alone.

Anxiety stems from asking the wrong question: "If such and such happens, can I handle it?"

The true question is not whether you can cope with whatever happens, but whether you and I together can handle anything that occurs.

It is this you-and-I-together factor that gives you confidence to face the day cheerfully.

Stay Strong!

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Spiritual Warfare

"If we are going to intercede for others, we had better be sure that others are interceding for us.

We need a prayer covering, especially when we enter an intense season of trials, challenges and battles.

When we hit our knees, we pick a fight with the enemy.

And the enemy WILL fight back.

Make no mistake, there is a target on our back.

The enemy wants to take us out, but he cannot touch us.

He has no jurisdiction in our lives if we are covered by the blood of Jesus, but we STILL need a prayer covering.

Intercession is spiritual warfare.

It's not for the faint or the feeble.

By definition, praying hard is hard.

There will be times when our hearts are breaking because of a prayer burden.

There will be seasons when the labor pains become intense because the Holy Spirit is birthing something new in us.

And there will be times when we feel the enemy launching a frontal assault on our family or business or health.

That's when we need to stay on our knees and pray through!!

Spiritual warfare can be scary and lonely, but I've always been strangely encouraged when I encounter increased spiritual opposition or oppression.

It means I'm doing something right.

It means I'm riling up the enemy.

It means I'm inching closer to the breakthrough.

And just when the fighting gets fiercest, I know that God is getting ready to go to battle for me!!

Spiritual battles are fought the same way.

The victory is won with knees bent in prayer and hands raised in worship to God.

The enemy cannot be defeated any other way.

No victory has ever been won apart from prayer and praise.

We will have moments when we lack the ability, strength, will, or faith to pray for ourselves.

That's when we need a prayer partner or prayer circle to hold up our arms, just as Aaron and Hur did for Moses.

I'm so grateful for my personal prayer circle."

I am With You and Will Watch You Wherever You Go

REST WITH ME A WHILE.

You have journeyed up a steep, rugged path in recent days.

The way ahead is shrouded in uncertainty.

Look neither behind you nor before you.

Instead, focus your attention on Me, your constant Companion.

Trust that I will equip you fully for whatever awaits you on your journey.

I designed time to be a protection for you.

You couldn't bear to see all your life at once.

Though I am unlimited by time, it is in the present moment that I meet you.

Refresh yourself in My company, breathing deep draughts of My Presence.

The highest level of trust is to enjoy Me moment by moment.

I am with you, watching over you wherever you go.

Stay Strong and Happy Friday!
God Bless! :)

Blessings that Far Outweigh Troubles

STAY CALMLY CONSCIOUS OF ME today, no matter what.

Remember that I go before you as well as with you into the day.

Nothing takes Me by surprise.

I will not allow circumstances to overwhelm you, so long as you look to Me.

I will help you cope with whatever the moment presents.

Collaborating with Me brings blessings that far outweigh all your troubles.

Awareness of My Presence contains Joy that can endure all eventualities.

Do not be dismayed

HOLD MY HAND—AND TRUST.

So long as you are conscious of My Presence with you, all is well.

It is virtually impossible to stumble while walking in the Light with Me.

I designed you to enjoy Me above all else.

You find the deepest fulfillment of your heart in Me alone.

Fearful, anxious thoughts melt away in the Light of My Presence.

When you turn away from Me, you are vulnerable to the darkness that is always at work in the world.

Don't be surprised by how easily you sin when you forget to cling to My hand.

In the world, dependency is seen as immaturity.

But in My kingdom, dependence on Me is a prime measure of maturity.

Wash away Fear

LET MY LOVE STREAM THROUGH YOU, washing away fear and distrust.

A trusting response includes Me in your thoughts as you consider strategies to deal with a situation.

My continual Presence is a promise, guaranteeing that you never have to face anything alone.

My children teethe on the truth that I am always with them, yet they stumble around in a stupor, unaware of My loving Presence all around them.

How that grieves Me!

When you walk through a day in trusting dependence on Me, My aching heart is soothed.

Gently bring your attention back to Me whenever it wanders away.

I look for persistence—rather than perfection—in your walk with Me.

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.

Do not be Anxious about Anything

THANK ME for the very things that are troubling you.

You are on the brink of rebellion, precariously close to shaking your fist in My Face.

You are tempted to indulge in just a little complaining about My treatment of you.

But once you step over that line, torrents of rage and self-pity can sweep you away.

The best protection against this indulgence is thanksgiving.

It is impossible to thank Me and curse Me at the same time.

Thanking Me for trials will feel awkward and contrived at first.

But if you persist, your thankful words, prayed in faith, will eventually make a difference in your heart.

Thankfulness awakens you to My Presence, which overshadows all your problems.

Cast it

"Peter said to have an attitude of trust.

The basis of that trust is the loving care God has repeatedly shown us.

You cast your anxiety on Him when you're able to say, however haltingly, "Lord, it's difficult.…I'm having trouble handling this trial, but I'm giving You the whole deal because I know You care for me."

The word translated "casting"was used to describe throwing something on something else, such as a blanket over a pack animal (e.g., Luke 19:35).

Take all your anxiety—all the discontent, discouragement, despair, questioning, pain, and suffering that you're going through—and toss it all onto God.

Trade it in for trust in God, who really cares about you."

Don't be intimidated by Fear

I AM THE FIRM FOUNDATION on which you can dance and sing and celebrate My Presence.

This is My high and holy calling for you; receive it as a precious gift.

Glorifying and enjoying Me is a higher priority than maintaining a tidy, structured life.

Give up your striving to keep everything under control—an impossible task and a waste of precious energy.

My guidance for each of My children is unique.

That's why listening to Me is so vital for your well-being.

Let me prepare you for the day that awaits you and point you in the right direction.

I am with you continually, so don't be intimidated by fear.

Though it stalks you, it cannot harm you, as long as you cling to My hand.

Trust the plans

YOU ARE MY BELOVED CHILD.

I chose you before the foundation of the world, to walk with Me along paths designed uniquely for you.

Concentrate on keeping in step with Me, instead of trying to anticipate My plans for you.

If you trust that My plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, you can relax and enjoy the present moment.

Your hope and your future are rooted in heaven, where eternal ecstasy awaits you.

Nothing can rob you of your inheritance of unimaginable riches and well-being.

Sometimes I grant you glimpses of your glorious future, to encourage you and spur you on.

But your main focus should be staying close to Me.

I set the pace in keeping with your needs and My purposes.

God with you

LEARN TO LAUGH at yourself more freely.

Don't take yourself or your circumstances so seriously.

Relax and know that I am God with you.

When you desire My will above all else, life becomes much less threatening.

Stop trying to monitor My responsibilities—things that are beyond your control.

Find freedom by accepting the boundaries of your domain.

Laughter lightens your load and lifts your heart into heavenly places.

Your laughter rises to heaven and blends with angelic melodies of praise.

Just as parents delight in the laughter of their children, so I delight in hearing My children laugh.

I rejoice when you trust Me enough to enjoy your life lightheartedly.

Do not miss the Joy of My Presence by carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Rather, take My yoke upon you and learn from Me.

Promise of Peace

"I will listen to what God the Lord says; he promises peace to his people..."
(Psalm 85:8, NIV)

He Promises Peace
No matter what is going on in your life right now, the Lord promises that you can have peace.

Notice that in this verse, the psalmist is making the decision to listen to what God says.

When you make the decision to listen to God and follow His direction, you will have peace.

You may be thinking to yourself, "God doesn't speak to me."

But the Bible says you are His sheep and you can hear His voice, and the voice of a stranger you will not follow.

The Lord speaks in many ways—sometimes through a friend, or a song or in the beauty of nature.

Sometimes it's a simple "knowing" deep down on the inside of you.

If you aren't sure how God speaks to you, ask Him to teach you.

All you have to do is open your heart and be willing to hear His voice.

As you open your heart to Him, He will speak, and you will live in His peace all the days of your life.

A Prayer for Today
"Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise of peace. I open my heart to You and ask that You teach me to hear Your voice clearly. I give You all that I am today in Jesus' name. Amen."

Peace

...and his name shall be called...The Prince of Peace."
(Isaiah 9:6, KJV)

The Prince of Peace
Aren't you glad Jesus is our Prince of Peace?

He rules our hearts with peace.

He gives us peace that passes understanding—which means we can have peace when it doesn't make sense.

We can have peace in the midst of the storm.

We can have peace in the midnight hour.

We can have peace when gas prices go up and the housing market goes down.

We can have constant peace because we are connected to the true source of peace!

Do you need more peace in your life?

Call on the Prince of Peace.

Give Him your burdens and cares.

The Bible says that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

When we are working and living the way God intends—full of peace and joy—we are carrying His "light" burden.

We are working with His "easy" yoke.

Don't carry the worries and stresses of this life!

Call on the Prince of Peace, and He'll take you places that you've never dreamed.

His peace will open doors for you that no one can shut!

Walk in His peace and in the life of victory He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for peace that guides and protects me. I choose Your Word today which says that I can walk and live in Your peace. Thank You for being the Prince of Peace in my life today in Jesus' name. Amen

Love, Joy, Peace

I AM CREATING something new in you: a bubbling spring of Joy that spills over into others'lives.

Do not mistake this Joy for your own or try to take credit for it in any way.

Instead, watch in delight as My Spirit flows through you to bless others.

Let yourself become a reservoir of the Spirit's fruit.

Your part is to live close to Me, open to all that I am doing in you.

Don't try to control the streaming of My Spirit through you.

Just keep focusing on Me as we walk through this day together.

Enjoy My Presence, which permeates you with Love, Joy, and Peace.

Trials into Blessings

LET ME HELP YOU get through this day.

There are many possible paths to travel between your getting up in the morning and your lying down at night.

Stay alert to the many choice-points along the way, being continually aware of My Presence.

You will get through this day one way or the other.

One way is to moan and groan, stumbling along with shuffling feet.

This will get you to the end of the day eventually, but there is a better way.

You can choose to walk with Me along the path of Peace, leaning on Me as much as you need.

There will still be difficulties along the way, but you can face them confidently in My strength.

Thank Me for each problem you encounter, and watch to see how I transform trials into blessings.

Do Not Be Afraid

TRUST ME and don't be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song.

Do not let fear dissipate your energy.

Instead, invest your energy in trusting Me and singing My Song.

The battle for control of your mind is fierce, and years of worry have made you vulnerable to the enemy.

Therefore, you need to be vigilant in guarding your thoughts.

Do not despise this weakness in yourself, since I am using it to draw you closer to Me.

Your constant need for Me creates an intimacy that is well worth all the effort.

You are not alone in this struggle for your mind.

My Spirit living within you is ever ready to help in this striving.

Ask Him to control your mind; He will bless you with Life and Peace.

Rest your Mind

REST IN ME, MY CHILD.

Give your mind a break from planning and trying to anticipate what will happen.

Pray continually, asking My Spirit to take charge of the details of this day.

Remember that you are on a journey with Me.

When you try to peer into the future and plan for every possibility, you ignore your constant Companion who sustains you moment by moment.

As you gaze anxiously into the distance, you don't even feel the strong grip of My hand holding yours.

How foolish you are, My child!

Remembrance of Me is a daily discipline.

Never lose sight of My Presence with you.

This will keep you resting in Me all day, every day.

Pray continually.

Decimate Fear

SEEK TO LIVE IN MY LOVE, which covers a multitude of sins: both yours and others'.

Wear My Love like a cloak of Light, covering you from head to toe.

Have no fear, for perfect Love decimates fear.

Look at other people through lenses of Love; see them from My perspective.

This is how you walk in the Light, and it pleases Me.

I want My Body of believers to be radiant with the Light of My Presence.

How I grieve when pockets of darkness increasingly dim the Love-Light.

Return to Me, your First Love!

Gaze at Me in the splendor of holiness, and My Love will once again envelop you in Light.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

I AM ALL AROUND YOU, like a cocoon of Light.

My Presence with you is a promise, independent of your awareness of Me.

Many things can block this awareness, but the major culprit is worry.

My children tend to accept worry as an inescapable fact of life.

However, worry is a form of unbelief; it is anathema to Me.

Who is in charge of your life?

If it is you, then you have good reason to worry.

But since I am in charge, worry is both unnecessary and counterproductive.

When you start to feel anxious about something, relinquish the situation to Me.

Back off a bit, redirecting your focus to Me.

I will either take care of the problem Myself or show you how to handle it.

In this world you will have problems, but you need not lose sight of Me.

Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. . . . But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well."

A Beacon to others

SEEK MY FACE, and you will find fulfillment of your deepest longings.

Welcome Challenging Times

WELCOME CHALLENGING TIMES as opportunities to trust Me.

When Things Look Hopeless

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior."
(Habakkuk 3:17–18, NIV)

When Things Look Hopeless

The prophet Habakkuk knew what to do when things seemed completely hopeless.

When he wrote this verse, his world was literally falling apart.

He had nothing.

Things seemed destitute.

So what did Habakkuk do?

He rejoiced and praised the Lord in spite of everything.

He knew that God was bigger than His problems, and He already had a way to get Him out of those circumstances.

Habakkuk was looking beyond His problems to what God could do in His life!

Let's follow Habakkuk's example.

When something bad happens to you, thank God — not because you're suffering, but because you know He has the answer.

When things look hopeless, praise Him because He will bring hope to your circumstances!

Let Go of Worries

RELAX IN MY HEALING, holy Presence.

Be still, while I transform your heart and mind.

Let go of cares and worries, so that you can receive My Peace.

Cease striving, and know that I am God.

Do not be like Pharisees who multiplied regulations, creating their own form of "godliness."

They got so wrapped up in their own rules that they lost sight of Me.

Even today, man-made rules about how to live the Christian life enslave many people.

Their focus is on their performance, rather than on Me.

It is through knowing Me intimately that you become like Me.

This requires spending time alone with Me.

Let go, relax, be still, and know that I am God.

Never Leaving your Side

I AM INVOLVED in each moment of your life.

I have carefully mapped out every inch of your journey through this day, even though much of it may feel haphazard.

Because the world is in a fallen condition, things always seem to be unraveling around the edges.

Expect to find trouble in this day.

At the same time, trust that My way is perfect, even in the midst of such messy imperfection.

Stay conscious of Me as you go through this day, remembering that I never leave your side.

Let the Holy Spirit guide you step by step, protecting you from unnecessary trials and equipping you to get through whatever must be endured.

As you trudge through the sludge of this fallen world, keep your mind in heavenly places with Me.

Thus the Light of My Presence shines on you, giving you Peace and Joy that circumstances cannot touch.

Stay Strong!
