Receive Peace

THE PEACE THAT I GIVE YOU transcends your intellect.

When most of your mental energy goes into efforts to figure things out, you are unable to receive this glorious gift.

I look into your mind and see thoughts spinning round and round: going nowhere, accomplishing nothing.

All the while, My Peace hovers over you, searching for a place to land.

Be still in My Presence, inviting Me to control your thoughts.

Let My Light soak into your mind and heart, until you are aglow with My very Being.

This is the most effective way to receive My Peace.

Stay Strong!

Keep Knocking

"Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."

(Matthew 7:7, AMP)

Press Through!!

In Mark, chapter five, there was a woman who had been sick for twelve years.

The doctors gave her no hope.

When she heard that Jesus was coming through her town, something deep on the inside said to her, "This is your season.

This is your time to get well."

In the natural, when she saw all the people around Him, she thought, "I'll never get to Him. It's so crowded and I'm weak. I just don't think I can do this."

She almost missed her season.

But instead of dwelling on those negative thoughts, she started reminding herself, "If I can just get to Jesus, I will be whole."

She made the choice to turn her thoughts in the right direction.

She kept pressing her way through the crowd until she got just close enough to Jesus to reach out and touch the edge of His robe.

Instantly, she was made whole.

Jesus said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well."

Notice it's our faith that activates God's power.

If you've been standing and belieivng for a while, don't give up! Press through!

Keep praying!

Keep asking!

Keep seeking, and He'll meet your faith with His miraculous power!

A Prayer for Today
"Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I ask You to fill me with Your strength and peace so that I can press through to victory. Show me the good plan You have for me and fill me with Your spirit of faith in Jesus' name. Amen"

Nothing can separate you

I AM WITH YOU, watching over you constantly.

I am Immanuel (God with you); My Presence enfolds you in radiant Love.

Nothing, including the brightest blessings and the darkest trials, can separate you from Me.

Some of My children find Me more readily during dark times, when difficulties force them to depend on Me.

Others feel closer to Me when their lives are filled with good things.

They respond with thanksgiving and praise, thus opening wide the door to My Presence.

I know precisely what you need to draw nearer to Me.

Go through each day looking for what I have prepared for you.

Accept every event as My hand-tailored provision for your needs.

When you view your life this way, the most reasonable response is to be thankful.

Do not reject any of My gifts; find Me in every situation.

Stay Strong!

Don’t Let Others Limit Your Dreams

"What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?"
(Romans 3:3, NIV)

Don't Let Others Limit Your Dreams

Have the opinions of other people caused you to water down your dreams?

There will always be critics and naysayers in life.

It's not what's said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself.

One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don't have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass.

Other people don't set the limits for your life — you do.

In Romans 3:3, the Apostle Paul is saying, "It doesn't matter if other people don't believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams."

When God puts a promise in your heart, it's not up to other people to bring it to pass, it's up to you!

You don't need everyone to validate you.

You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.

Remember, God sees the hidden treasures that you've had buried on the inside of you.

He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality!

As you get rid of old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits and live the abundant life God has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for another day to see Your goodness in my life. Today, I take off the limits and embrace the dreams You've placed in my heart. Empower me by Your Spirit to fulfill Your plan for me in Jesus' name. Amen."

"If God is for us, who can be against us?”

If God is for us, who can be against us?"
(Romans 8:31, NIV)

God is on Your Side

As a believer in Jesus and a child of His, God is on your side today!

If you haven't thought about it yet today, remember, you were created for greatness.

You have the seed of Almighty God inside of you.

There is no obstacle that can stop you. There is no disadvantage that can hold you back!

You're in the palm of God's hand, and He has equipped and empowered you for everything.

When God is on your side, He sets the right people in your path.

In fact, He's already released favor into your future.

He's planning for you to come into new seasons of increase.

He has a plan for victory in every area of your life!

Let that sink down into your heart today.

Begin to expect His favor.

Expect Him to work in your life.

Focus on the fact that God has equipped you.

He has anointed you.

Your best days are still out in front of you!

If God is for you, no one can rise against you!

Meditate on this promise so you can walk in the favor and victory God has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for being on my side today. Thank You for equipping and empowering me to accomplish everything You've called me to. Give me a revelation of Your love for me today in Jesus' name. Amen."

Together we can handle whatever this day brings

THE WORLD IS TOO MUCH WITH YOU.

Your mind leaps from problem to problem to problem, tangling your thoughts in anxious knots.

When you think like that, you leave Me out of your world-view and your mind becomes darkened.

Though I yearn to help, I will not violate your freedom.

I stand silently in the background of your mind, waiting for you to remember that I am with you.

When you turn from your problems to My Presence, your load is immediately lighter.

Circumstances may not have changed, but we carry your burdens together.

Your compulsion to "fix" everything gives way to deep, satisfying connection with Me.

Together we can handle whatever this day brings.

Stay Strong!

Restore and Heal

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
(Psalm 147:3, NIV)

He is the Healer

It doesn't matter what is "broken" in your life today, God's nature is to bring you complete healing.

Do you need healing in your body?
Your mind?
Heart?
Finances?
Relationships?

God is your healer.

Notice what the Psalmist says in this verse: "He binds up their wounds."

In the natural, if you have a broken arm, it doesn't just heal overnight.

The doctor makes a cast to hold it in place and protect it.

He binds up your wound.

In the spiritual realm, God does the same thing.

He wraps Himself around your brokenness and protects the wounded area until it is strong enough to function properly again.

The Bible also says that He is a restorer.

That means that when He does a work of healing in our lives, He makes us better than we were before.

If you're going through the healing process today, know this: it may take longer than you planned, but God is binding up your wound.

He is protecting you and healing you.

He will bring you out better and stronger than you were before.

He will take you to a place of complete healing so that you can live the life of victory He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

"Father, thank You for being my healer. Thank You for restoring every area of my life. I give You my brokenness and everything that I am today. Use me for Your glory in Jesus' name. Amen

Anchor yourself

An old seaman once said, "In fierce storms we must do one thing, for there is only one way to survive: we must put the ship in a certain position and keep her there."

And this, dear Christian, is what you must do.

Sometimes, like Paul, you cannot see the sun or the stars to help you navigate when the storm is bearing down on you.

This is when you can do only one thing, for there is only one way.

Reason cannot help you, past experiences will shed no light, and even prayer will bring no consolation.

Only one course remains: you must put your soul in one position and keep it there.

You must anchor yourself steadfastly upon the Lord.

And then, come what may—whether wind, waves, rough seas, thunder, lightning, jagged rocks, or roaring breakers—you must lash yourself to the helm, firmly holding your confidence in God's faithfulness, His covenant promises, and His everlasting love in Christ Jesus."

Everything You Need

WHEN THINGS DON'T GO AS YOU would like, accept the situation immediately.

If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment.

Remember that I am sovereign over your circumstances, and humble yourself under My mighty hand.

Rejoice in what I am doing in your life, even though it is beyond your understanding.

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

In Me you have everything you need, both for this life and for the life yet to come.

Don't let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on Me.

The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Me, no matter what is going on around you.

When I am central in your thinking, you are able to view circumstances from My perspective.

Stay Strong!

Refusing to Worry

I, THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, am with you and for you.

What more could you need?

When you feel some lack, it is because you are not connecting with Me at a deep level.

I offer abundant Life; your part is to trust Me, refusing to worry about anything.

It is not so much adverse events that make you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events.

Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire.

Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves.

Determined to make things go your way, you forget that I am in charge of your life.

The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to My Presence.

Stop all your striving, and watch to see what I will do.

I am the Lord!

Hopeless? Never!

"While Jesus was yet speaking to the woman, a member of Jairus' household arrived bearing dreadful news.

Recall that our story began with Jesus agreeing to attend to the daughter of Jairus, the synagogue ruler.

On their journey towards his house, Jairus was informed that his daughter had died; hence, there was no need to bother Jesus any longer.

What were Jairus' immediate thoughts? Maybe he was disappointed that Jesus had stopped to address the sick woman.

Maybe he was angry with himself for not staying by his daughter's side.

Whatever the case, he assuredly was overcome by grief and despair.

The news that Jairus received would have surely devastated him save one vital fact-he happened to be standing next to Jesus.

There is an important principle to be observed.

In life we will experience heartache and pain.

Our relationship with God does not allow us to avoid heartache; it simply sustains us when we experience it.

Therefore, like Jairus, we must stay close to Jesus.

By definition, trying times are generally unexpected.

Nevertheless, it is during trying times that we need to hear the Word of God most clearly.

Jesus overheard the report given to Jairus and countered with His own prognosis.

Jairus had specifically requested that Jesus revive his daughter, and Jesus had every intention of honoring his request.

Jesus promised Jairus that if he believed and did not doubt, his daughter would be healed.

In essence, He told Jairus to keep believing.

Jairus could not allow the negative report to extinguish his belief.

He had to sustain the same level of faith he'd expressed when initially making his request.

Jairus would soon find that his daughter's healing was simply delayed but not denied.

When Jesus arrived and found the family and friends mourning the girl's apparent death, He stated that the girl was not dead but asleep.

Many of those present ridiculed Him because they felt certain the girl was dead.

Undeterred, Jesus went into the house with a chosen few, including the parents and Peter, John, and James.

Then Jesus took the girl by the hand and told her to get up.

Just as He'd promised, the girl arose fully recovered.

Think about the subjects of our story and notice that their stories are distinct yet intertwined.

We have the woman with the flow of blood who had suffered for 12 long years.

We have the young girl with the terminal illness who had lived for only 12 short years.

Both lives were fully restored because of the power released through faith.

In the case of the woman with the flow of blood, there appeared to be no cure.

In the case of the young girl, the cure appeared to arrive too late.

We learn that when we place our trust in God, our blessing may he delayed but never denied.

We learn a great deal about faith through these miraculous account.

We learn that God desires to be involved in our earthly affairs yet requires our faith to intervene.

We learn that no matter how desperate a situation appears, God has the final word.

We learn that if we add patience to our faith, God will honor our perseverance.

Finally, we see the awesome possibilities as a result of the exercise of faith.

Faith in God allows us to revive situations that otherwise seem hopeless."

Do Not Worry about the things of tomorrow...

"As we examine ourselves, are we dwelling on good things, or are we worrying about relationships or about the future?

We must be more in tune with God's indwelling Spirit than the world around us.

We must keep eternity's values in view and not worry about the things of tomorrow.

Jesus tells us:

'For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not worth much more than they?

And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?'

(Matthew 6: 25-27)

God is always with us; He will not fail us.

We must trust Him with our finances, our health, our family, our job, our career, and our future.

He will never let us down, for He is always with us and will never leave us.

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You that You love me and like me! I pray that You would keep me safe, secure, and steadfast in You.

I ask for You to help me remain in You, Jesus, and in Your Word. Help me to overcome my fears. I believe that through Your power and by Your grace I can overcome the world.

I love You, Jesus.
Amen"

The challenge continually before you is to trust Me and search for My way through each day.

Strength for every Battle

Today's Scripture

"Every Scripture is God-breathed...so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(2 Timothy 3:16–17, AMP)

You are Equipped
God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed.

The word "anointing" is the power of God which gives you courage, strength and ability. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and the talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle!

You've been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you!

Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He's already lined up the right breaks. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you.

Don't settle where you are.

Have the attitude, "I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle.

I am equipped and empowered by my Father in heaven, and I am able to live the abundant life He has for me!"

A Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for equipping me. Thank You for empowering me. Help me stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today. I bless You and honor You alone in Jesus' name. Amen."

Trust I will Guide you

I AM YOUR LORD!

Seek Me as Friend and Lover of your soul, but remember that I am also King of kings—sovereign over all.

You can make some plans as you gaze into the day that stretches out before you.

But you need to hold those plans tentatively, anticipating that I may have other ideas.

The most important thing to determine is WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW.

Instead of scanning the horizon of your life, looking for things that need to be done, concentrate on the task before you and the One who never leaves your side.

Let everything else fade into the background.

This will unclutter your mind, allowing Me to occupy more and more of your consciousness.

Trust Me to show you what to do when you have finished what you are doing now.

I will guide you step by step, as you bend your will to Mine.

Stay Strong!

Shield of Faith

SPENDING TIME alone with Me is essential for your well-being.

It is not a luxury or an option; it is a necessity.

Therefore, do not feel guilty about taking time to be with Me.

Remember that Satan is the accuser of believers.

He delights in heaping guilt feelings upon you, especially when you are enjoying My Presence.

When you feel Satan's arrows of accusation, you are probably on the right track.

Use your shield of faith to protect yourself from him.

Talk with Me about what you are experiencing, and ask Me to show you the way forward.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Come near to Me, and I will come near to you.

Stay Strong!

"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down."

"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
—EPHESIANS 6: 16

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

No Need to Panic

I AM A MIGHTY GOD.

Nothing is too difficult for Me.

I have chosen to use weak ones like you to accomplish My purposes.

Your weakness is designed to open you up to My Power.

Therefore, do not fear your limitations or measure the day's demands against your strength.

What I require of you is to stay connected to Me, living in trusting dependence on My limitless resources.

When you face unexpected demands, there is no need to panic.

Remember that I am with you.

Talk with Me, and listen while I talk you through each challenging situation.

I am not a careless God.

When I allow difficulties to come into your life, I equip you fully to handle them.

Relax in My Presence, trusting in My Strength.

Cast away all Anxiety

THANK ME IN THE MIDST of the crucible.

When things seem all wrong, look for growth opportunities.

Especially, look for areas where you need to let go, leaving your cares in My able hands.

Do you trust Me to orchestrate your life events as I choose, or are you still trying to make things go according to your will?

If you keep trying to carry out your intentions while I am leading you in another direction, you deify your desires.

Be on the lookout for what I am doing in your life.

Worship Me by living close to Me, thanking Me in all circumstances.

Stay Strong

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

A Source of Blessing

DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.

I can bring good even out of your mistakes.

Your finite mind tends to look backward, longing to undo decisions you have come to regret.

This is a waste of time and energy, leading only to frustration.

Instead of floundering in the past, release your mistakes to Me.

Look to Me in trust, anticipating that My infinite creativity can weave both good choices and bad into a lovely design.

Because you are human, you will continue to make mistakes.

Thinking that you should live an error-free life is symptomatic of pride.

Your failures can be a source of blessing, humbling you and giving you empathy for other people in their weaknesses.

Best of all, failure highlights your dependence on Me.

I am able to bring beauty out of the morass of your mistakes.

Trust Me, and watch to see what I will do.

Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled

THANK ME FOR YOUR PROBLEMS.

As soon as your mind gets snagged on a difficulty, bring it to Me with thanksgiving.

Then ask Me to show you My way to handle the situation.

The very act of thanking Me releases your mind from its negative focus.

As you turn your attention to Me, the problem fades in significance and loses its power to trip you up.

Together we can deal with the situation, either facing it head-on or putting it aside for later consideration.

Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today's concerns; you have borrowed them from tomorrow.

In this case, I lift the problem out of today and deposit it in the future, where it is veiled from your eyes.

In its place I give you My Peace, which flows freely from My Presence.

Hand-Tailored Blessings

DO NOT RESIST OR RUN from the difficulties in your life.

These problems are not random mistakes; they are hand-tailored blessings designed for your benefit and growth.

Embrace all the circumstances that I allow in your life, trusting Me to bring good out of them.

View problems as opportunities to rely more fully on Me.

When you start to feel stressed, let those feelings alert you to your need for Me.

Thus, your needs become doorways to deep dependence on Me and increasing intimacy between us.

Although self-sufficiency is acclaimed in the world, reliance on Me produces abundant living in My kingdom.

Thank Me for the difficulties in your life, since they provide protection from the idolatry of self-reliance.

Do not Fear; I Will Help You

DO NOT LONG FOR THE ABSENCE of problems in your life.

That is an unrealistic goal, since in this world you will have trouble.

You have an eternity of problem-free living reserved for you in heaven.

Rejoice in that inheritance, which no one can take away from you, but do not seek your heaven on earth.

Begin each day anticipating problems, asking Me to equip you for whatever difficulties you will encounter.

The best equipping is My living Presence, My hand that never lets go of yours.

Discuss everything with Me.

Take a lighthearted view of trouble, seeing it as a challenge that you and I together can handle.

Remember that I am on your side, and I have overcome the world.

Do Not Fear What Any Day May Bring

IF YOU LEARN TO TRUST ME—really trust Me—with your whole being, then nothing can separate you from My Peace.

Everything you endure can be put to good use by allowing it to train you in trusting Me.

This is how you foil the works of evil, growing in grace through the very adversity that was meant to harm you.

Joseph was a prime example of this divine reversal, declaring to his brothers: "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good."

Do not fear what this day, or any day, may bring your way.

Concentrate on trusting Me and on doing what needs to be done.

Relax in My sovereignty, remembering that I go before you, as well as with you, into each day.

Fear no evil, for I can bring good out of every situation you will ever encounter.

Stay Strong!

Security

DO NOT SEARCH FOR SECURITY in the world you inhabit.

You tend to make mental checklists of things you need to do in order to gain control of your life.

If only you could check everything off your list, you could relax and be at peace.

But the more you work to accomplish that goal, the more things crop up on your list.

The harder you try, the more frustrated you become.

There is a better way to find security in this life.

Instead of scrutinizing your checklist, focus your attention on My Presence with you.

This continual contact with Me will keep you in My Peace.

Moreover, I will help you sort out what is important and what is not, what needs to be done now and what does not.

Fix your eyes not on what is seen (your circumstances), but on what is unseen (My Presence).

Stay Strong!

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."

Nothing You Need

COME TO ME for all that you need.

Come into My Presence with thanksgiving, for thankfulness opens the door to My treasures.

When you are thankful, you affirm the central truth that I am Good.

I am Light, in whom there is no darkness at all.

The assurance that I am entirely Good meets your basic need for security.

Your life is not subject to the whims of a sin-stained deity.

Relax in the knowledge that the One who controls your life is totally trustworthy.

Come to Me with confident expectation.

There is nothing you need that I cannot
provide.

Stay Strong!

"Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.'
—PSALM 95: 2

"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all."

Inexpressible Joy

MEET ME IN MORNING STILLNESS, while the earth is fresh with the dew of My Presence.

Worship Me in the beauty of holiness.

Sing love songs to My holy Name.

As you give yourself to Me, My Spirit swells within you till you are flooded with divine Presence.

The world's way of pursuing riches is grasping and hoarding.

You attain My riches by letting go and giving.

The more you give yourself to Me and My ways, the more I fill you with inexpressible, heavenly Joy.

Stay Strong!

"Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness."
—PSALM 29: 2 NKJV

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy."

Simply No Time to Worry

YOU ARE ON THE PATH of My choosing.

There is no randomness about your life.

Here and Now comprise the coordinates of your daily life.

Most people let their moments slip through their fingers, half-lived.

They avoid the present by worrying about the future or longing for a better time and place.

They forget that they are creatures who are subject to the limitations of time and space.

They forget their Creator, who walks with them only in the present.

Every moment is alive with My glorious Presence, to those whose hearts are intimately connected with Mine.

As you give yourself more and more to a life of constant communion with Me, you will find that you simply have no time for worry.

Thus, you are freed to let My Spirit direct your steps, enabling you to walk along the path of Peace.

-"Jesus Calling"

Stay Strong!

"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?"
—LUKE 12: 25–26

To shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.

Thanksgiving

"When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself."
- Tecumseh

Stronger Than We think We Are

Happy Friday and Feast of St Joseph The Worker!  :)

"Faith is God's primary means of keeping his children reliant upon him.

It forces us to put ourselves in situations where we can't take care of ourselves, and requires that we apply the truth that we say we believe.

Nothing strengthens our spiritual lives more, but nothing is more challenging

Faith grows through taking steps of confidence, and chooses an attitude of optimism when everything seems to discourage it.

Faith is required in nearly every moment of significant change in life, and God requires more faith when you're ready for it.

Faith challenges you to flex your spiritual muscles beyond what you think you can bear, but God knows what you're capable of bearing.

He never gives you a challenge too big, even though you think it might be.

Each of us, at some point in our lives, will have to close our eyes and take a leap.

Our challenge is taking the leap; it's God who steps in to catch us and carry us back down to solid ground.

God requires faith in our lives because he believes in us entirely, and he knows we have more spiritual grit in us than we think we have.

So, he presses us.

He forces us to challenge ourselves so that we realize that we have more in us than we thought we had.

We think that faith puts us in a needy and vulnerable place, but we can be encouraged knowing that in reality, God requires faith from us as the first indication that we're stronger than we think we are and that we're ready for bigger things."
